How the last few weeks actually go

No mystery to it. Four stages, and by the end of the second one you've stopped being the person everybody calls.

    Consultation

    A free 30-minute call. You tell me the date, the venue, and what's still unresolved. I tell you honestly whether you need a coordinator and which package fits.

  2. 02

    The handoff

    Four to eight weeks out, we go through every vendor, contract, and detail you've locked in. From that point forward, questions come to me instead of you.

  3. 03

    The timeline

    I build a minute-by-minute run-of-show, walk the venue, confirm it with every vendor, and send the final version to your wedding party a week out.

  4. 04

    The day

    I'm first in and last out. Setup, cues, vendor arrivals, the timeline, the problems you never hear about, and the breakdown after the send-off.

What I'm actually doing while you're getting ready

The run-of-show is the deliverable, but the job is everything that happens around it.

  • Opening the venue and directing vendor load-in
  • Setting out place cards, favors, signage, and anything else in the boxes you drop off
  • Keeping the ceremony start on time without anyone feeling rushed
  • Cueing the processional, the toasts, the first dance, and the send-off
  • Being the phone number every vendor has, so none of them have yours
  • Carrying the kit: safety pins, stain remover, steamer, scissors, phone chargers, Advil
  • Packing the gifts, the top tier, and the rentals at the end of the night

A fair warning

Something will go wrong.

It always does. A late boutonnière delivery, a missing cake knife, a cousin who didn't get the shuttle memo, a rain plan called at two in the afternoon.

None of that is a failure of planning — it's just what happens when a hundred people and eight vendors converge on one afternoon. The difference a coordinator makes isn't that nothing goes wrong. It's that you find out about it at brunch the next morning, as a story.
