FAQ

Questions worth asking

If yours isn't here, ask it on the consultation call — that's what it's for.

What's the difference between a wedding planner and a day-of coordinator?

A planner helps you make the decisions — venue, vendors, budget, design — over the course of a year. A coordinator takes the decisions you've already made and executes them. If your venue requires a coordinator, this is the role they mean.

Our venue says we're required to have a coordinator. Does this satisfy that?

Yes. Venues require a coordinator so there's one accountable point of contact for vendor access, setup, and the timeline. I'll introduce myself to your venue manager directly and send over the run-of-show ahead of time.

How far in advance should we book?

Six to nine months is typical, but reach out whenever you're reading this. I only take a limited number of weddings per season so that each one gets real attention, and popular dates go early.

What happens if something goes wrong on the day?

Something always does — a late boutonnière delivery, a missing cake knife, a cousin who didn't get the shuttle memo. My job is to solve it before it reaches you. You'll usually hear about it at brunch the next morning, as a story.

Do you travel?

Happily. Weddings outside the local area include a flat travel fee quoted upfront, which covers mileage or airfare and lodging. Destination weddings are handled case by case.

Can we book honeymoon planning on its own?

Absolutely — travel planning is available whether or not I'm coordinating your wedding. It also makes a genuinely good group wedding gift, if anyone's asking.

What do you need from us before the wedding?

Your vendor contracts, a rough timeline of what you've already agreed to, and the boxes of things that need to go out on the day — place cards, signage, favors, guest book. We go through all of it together on the handoff call, so nothing depends on you remembering it that morning.

How do payments work?

A retainer holds your date, with the balance due two weeks before the wedding. Everything is flat-rate and written into the contract upfront — no hourly billing and no day-of surprises.
